Cabin Rates & Payments

Solitary retreat (all cabins, 1 person):

  • Up to 10 nights: $70 / night
  • 11th night and beyond: $60 / night


Wood is included and electric baseboard heat is $10 per day.  You can choose to use one or the other or use both.

Deposits

If a cabin is available, we can reserve it for you, but can only give you a final confirmation once we receive your deposit (your deposit is 50% of the total retreat).  So, please make your deposit promptly, on receipt of your reservation confirmation, to be sure of getting your desired dates.

Refunds

We regret that we can only refund deposits for reservations canceled up to 14 days prior to the reserved period.  Please reserve early and be sure of your desired dates.

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your reservation, please communicate with us as soon possible.  The following is our policy for cancellations:

  • More than 60 days in advance – your deposit will be fully refunded.

  • Between 30 to 60 days – you can be refunded 50% of your deposit – or – you can reschedule your retreat and your deposit will be credited to that retreat.

  • Less than 30 days – your deposit will not be refunded.

 

Scholarship Program

For guests who may be facing financial difficulties when trying to schedule a retreat, Milk Lake is able to offer a Scholarship Program.

This scholarship is only possible by the generosity of Anne Studley who passed away in December of 2021 and left Milk Lake a bequest.  Anne’s wishes were to have her donation be used to help fund retreats for those who are in financial difficulties.  Retreats should be affordable for all and with this scholarship, we hope that everyone has the chance to come for practice!

How to apply

When you book a retreat using the Milk Lake website, the application form will have a section called “Scholarship Request”.  Fill out this section in addition to the rest of the application and let us know why you are in need of financial aid to complete your retreat.  This will help us figure out how best to assist you!

* The scholarship cannot pay the full costs of one’s retreat but can help to offset the costs.  We are happy to work with everyone on an individual basis and find a plan that can work for them!
